Rivian has launched the online configurator for its R2 mid-size electric SUV, allowing reservation holders to customize their vehicles before delivery. The starting price for the Performance trim is set at $57,990, slightly lower than Tesla's Model Y Performance. This early launch indicates Rivian's confidence in ramping up production at its Normal, Illinois facility.
